The Dallas Metropolitan SBDC office serves all of Dallas County.

Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas serves the Garland area, supporting both job seekers and employers. Individuals benefit from career services  job matching, training, aptitude testing and online tools like WorkInTexas.com. Special assistance is available for veterans and people with disabilities. Employers gain access to a skilled workforce and services to support hiring. 

Garland ISD: Building the Local Talent Pipeline

Garland Independent School District (GISD) plays a key role in developing Garland’s future workforce, serving more than 51,000 students across 67 campuses. The district partners with local employers and emphasizes real-world learning. Its Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center offers juniors and seniors advanced-level CTE programs, hands-on training and industry certifications – preparing students for careers and supporting Garland’s growing economy.

Through its Ascend Institute, local employers and residents access practical, industry-focused training. The campus also administers the Skills Development Fund Program in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission.
